"I am happy and I am relieved over the decision. I thank all the film industry personalities, fans and media all over the country who had stood by me in the moment of crisis," says Nikita, reacting to the lifting of ban on her by the Kannada Film Producers Association.
"There should be no ban in the Kannada film industry. It is not good for an actor's reputation and psychology," Nikita told reporters on Thursday, on the ban imposed on her following allegations leveled at her by actor Darshan's wife.
Earlier on Wednesday, the actress has issued a media statement where she said: "I am not somebody who wants publicity from injustice done to me. What my family, friends and fans what they think about me really matters."
"Everybody knows that what happened is grave injustice to one and all by banning me for an act which I am not even aware or responsible for, I would not like to justify myself because the truth is apparent."
"I am really hurt by the entire situation and I would not like to comment any further. I thank at this point everyone that has stood by me especially my fans, artists, and my industry which has always been family to me, thank you," read her statement.
