Nikitha behind Darshan's arrest?

'Saroja' girl Nikitha, whose other Tamil venture 'Muran' is set to hit the screens very soon, is the talk of the Kannada film industry, ever since leading actor Darshan was arrested on Friday based on a complaint from his wife.

The actor is rumoured to be having an affair with Nikitha, who has starred opposite him in 'Yodha', 'Prince' and 'Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna'. "The affair has resulted in his tussle with his wife," sources said.

"Vijayalakshmi had noticed that Darshan was getting close to Nikitha. She started questioning the proximity between them and the harassment increased. And things became worse on Thursday, when the actor assaulted his wife," they added.

Darshan has been charged with attempt to murder, harassment, and threat to life and also under the Arms Act. The actor is alleged to have harassed his wife over the last four months and had beaten her up on three earlier occasions. But the victim had reportedly not gone public about it. But the latest incident has been the worse and she had no other option, but to seek the help of the police, reports said.
