Vedi goes to October 6 as Muran grabs Sep 30

Sun Pictures have told the trade that Vishal’s Prabhu Deva directed Vedi will be postponed by a week from September 30 to October 6.
In a reshuffle, the trade has asked UTV to push Muran from September 23 to 30.

The buzz is that Vedi Re-Recording and some patchwork is going on and Sun Pictures are still promoting Mankatha in a big way.
By postponing Vedi , Mankatha will get another week to make more money.
Meanwhile there is acute theatre shortage in TN. Vandhan Vendraan and Engeyum Eppothum has taken most of the screens last Friday (Sep 16).
Next Friday (Sep 23) Aayiram Vilakku and Vaaigai Sooda Vaa are struggling to get theatres.
Muran which was to release on Sep 23 has informed the trade that it will now release only on Sep 30.
It is a smart move by UTV, who will get some of the Mankatha theatres along with VV & EE screens.
The way things are going don’t be surprised if Muran gets a solo release!
