Santosh Sivan is on a mission. That not to focus on anything else till the Tamil version of his critically acclaimed 'Urumi' hits the screens. "Yes, only after that I will start my next venture Ceylon," says the acclaimed cinematographer-filmmaker.
"My focus is on releasing the film in other Indian languages. The Tamil version is ready and I am planning to release it by November. Because I am waiting for all the big movies to see the light of the day," he says, implicitly mentioning Deepavali releases.
'Urumi' is a historical-fantasy film directed and co-produced by Santosh Sivan and written by Shankar Ramakrishnan. It stars Prithviraj, who was also one of the producers of the film, Prabhu Deva, Genelia D' Souza and others in lead roles.
Recently, the film was selected to be screened at the prestigious Busan International Film Festival. This is the second time a Santhosh Sivan movie is being featured at this festival. In the year 2005, his 'Navarasa' was screened at the Busan International Film Festival, it may be recalled.
