Was Amy Jackson Vikram’s choice?

Amy is Vikram’s pair, not just in Thaandavam but also in I. The casting for the Shankar project was done after the director saw the stills of them together in Thaandavam, it is said. So, was it Vikram who recommended Amy to Shankar? The actor just shrugged it off saying, ” I think everyone knows who Shankar sir is and how he is.”

Apparently, the character in I demanded a London girl and that’s why Amy was chosen. Amy says, “I’m honoured to be working with Vikram; that too so early in my career. We’ve done a lot of work in Thaandavam and I hope audiences like it.”
