G Ramkumar and G Prabhu, the two sons of the late Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan, always celebrate the thespians birth anniversary in a novel and dignified manner every year. This year too the function at the Anna Arivalayam was marked by solemnity and reminisces of the thespian and was an emotional moment for his fans and family who had gathered together.The highlight was the awarding of citations and the Dr Sivaji Ganesan Memorial Awards to his veteran make up artiste L Muthappa, singer P Suseela, singer SPB and poet and singer PB Srinivas. Advocate General of TN, PS Raman was the chief guest who launched the book Vettaiku Vantha Singam by VA Muthumanickam. In addition, T Murthy, Post Master General TN released a special cover with cancellation for KV Mahadevan, the music composer. A donation was also made to the Focus Academy. Mohan V Raman was the compere for the evening.The function was interspersed with clippings from yesteryear his of the thespian amidst much dancing and deafening applause from the audience.
