Radhika Sarathkumar, who is ruling the small screen as an actress and producer, is back to act in films. After a long gap, she will be seen playing a crucial role in Saguni, a movie which has Karthi Sivakumar playing the protagonist.
"She stayed out of films for some time since she wanted to concentrate on works related to Radaan, a television content company successfully run by her. However, the Saguni offer impressed her so much and she accepted to do it," say sources.
Confirming this, Radhika says, "Yes, I am there in Saguni playing an important role. I have nothing against cinema and I am always here to do performance-oriented characters. Television serials keep me busy these days."
On recent reports which claimed that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa refused to accept a request from the film industry to conduct a felicitation function for her, Radhika says, "She is right. She has said this because of her professional commitments."
