Many from the industry called on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in the last two months to personally convey their greetings on her being elected the head of the State for the third time. But there was no Ajith's name in the list, though the actor was considered close to the AIADMK supremo.
Explaining as to why he did not meet Jayalalithaa in person, Ajith says, "Because she is the Chief Minister for the whole of Tamil Nadu. And she has a lot of commitments and works to do. I don't want to disturb her."
Ajith adds: "Even if I had met her, some would have criticised it saying that I called on her only to seek her help for the smooth release of my forthcoming film Mankatha. Now the same persons question why I did not meet her".
"Amma knows me very well. She knows what the truth is and what not," Ajith says, adding: "So I am not bothered about unwanted issues raised by certain people. Because they are not going to produce any of my films."
